Philadelphia native Devin Hampton is an accomplished showrunner, writer, and director, best known as the co-creator and showrunner of AMC Plus’s SNAP. He has led writers' rooms, managed pre-production, and worked closely with network executives, casting, and line producers. Devin’s career spans major national ad campaigns for brands like Weight Watchers, Heineken, and McDonald's, and he has worked with top advertising agencies including Ogilvy, Havas, and BBDO.
Mentored by renowned director Johan Renck (Chernobyl), Devin brings a global approach to storytelling. His work in branded content, commercials, and television showcases his ability to merge human emotion with sharp creative execution. His film Sanctuary earned him a Best Director nomination at the Paris Film Festival and won the Caz Matthews Award at SeriesFest.
In film, Devin wrote and sold the action-comedy Silky Smooth, starring Jay Pharoah, and directed a teaser that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival’s Black House. He also co-created and executive produced the docuseries Soul of the City alongside DJ Jazzy Jeff, W. Kamau Bell, and Get Lifted (John Legend’s company).
